About the Center

The Pete Suazo Business Center was founded in fall 2002. We are a non-profit organization focused on aiding underserved entrepreneurs. The center is dedicated to following the ideals of its namesake, the late state Senator Pete Suazo, who was known for championing the cause of Utah's Latino/Hispanic population.

The center has a two-pronged mission in its effort to serve Utah's Latino/Hispanic and other underserved populations: First, provide education on what is needed to start and run a successful business in the United States; and secondly, serve as an access point for organizations, institutions, and other existing entities that wish to offer their services to the underserved community in this area. The center's services include business management counseling, business plan development, marketing, and procuring of business financing.

The center has the support of representatives from the state government, the local business community, non-profit organizations, and members of institutions of higher learning. The members of the Board of Directors have abundant business knowledge and experience and wish to act as a resource to the community.
